For the beginning of your 5 days Morocco sahara desert tour, you will be met by our driver who will be your companion, your guide and source of information during this trip which will take you from Casablanca to Marrakech, passing by the imperial cities, the Sahara desert and the Atlas Mountains. On your way from Casablanca to Fes, you’ll pass by some cities which we may stop to visit, depending on your time of arrival like Rabat which is like 1 hour from Casablanca where you can visit the Hassan Tower, which was built in the 12th centuries as the minaret of an unfinished mosque, the Oudaya Kasbahs with its lavish gardens and the old Medina. You might also visit Volubilis, which is one of Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, where many monuments and old mosaic are in exhibition in the museum while you can still peruse the beauty of the pillars, columns and the remains of old mansions and houses. Meknes is also a possible stop on the way to Fes, famous for being the Ismaili capital and for several monuments like Mausoleum Moulay Ismail, “Bab Mnasour” which the largest gate in Morocco and Lhdim square. Waking up to the hustle and bustle of the Medina, you’ll savor a delicious breakfast with our 5 days Morocco sahara desert tour before meeting our professional and experienced local guide who will be your source of knowledge about the city, its history and its landmarks. The tour consists of 2 parts, the first is on a car to visit some monuments and famous attractions like the northern tower, locally called Borj Nord, one of 2 towers that protected the city, the synagogue and the Jewish neighborhood, where a huge Jewish community lived in peace and harmony. On the third day of your 5 days Morocco sahara desert tour, from the imperial city of Fes, you will take the road to the Sahara desert to explore a totally different side of Morocco’s diverse culture as you’ll notice the change in landscapes from the eventful alleys and the monumentally rich to the cold and European styled cities of the Middle Atlas and to the sandy world of the desert. As you depart from Fes, you’ll pass by Ifrane, “Switzerland of Morocco”, famous for its serenity and very cold and snowy weather, Azrou, Ifrane’s neighbor and the capital of the Berber community in the Middle Atlas where you will also check out the Cedar forests, inhabited by the playful Barbery Macaque monkeys. Upon your arrival in Merzouga, you will have the choice of either taking a 4WD or a camel trek to your luxury desert camp, located in the middle of the golden dunes of the Sahara desert. You’ll enjoy your dinner to the rhythm of folkloric drum music under the light of the stars before spending your third night with our 5 days Morocco sahara desert tour in a luxurious bivouac tent.
On the fourth day of your 5 days Morocco sahara desert tour, you leave from the heart of the Sahara to the splendor of Dades valley passing on the way by some gorgeous landscapes of nature. You will visit the magnificent Toudgha gorges, which are a series of limestone river canyons, where you can enjoy a walk between the very high sides of the valley and visit some surrounding villages where you will have lunch before continuing to Dades gorge and Valley where beauty dominates the scene and you’ll get to relax and enjoy the view. Dinner and overnight of the fourth night in a hotel in Dades.
On the fifth day of your 5 days Morocco sahara desert tour, you will carry on your journey from Dades valley to the Red city of Marrakech, passing by the beautiful rose valley and Skoura on the way, stopping to peruse their charm. On the way, you’ll visit the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, nicknamed “Hollywood of Morocco” where you will visit the biggest studios in Africa, “Atlas Studios”, which were the set for some of cinema’s masterpieces like Gladiator, Kingdom of heaven and the hit tv show “Game of Thrones”. You will also visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which is one of the most beautiful and well preserved kasbahs in Morocco before taking the TiziN’Tichka breathtaking pass to Marrakech. Upon your arrival in Marrakech, you will be dropped off by our driver at the airport/your hotel or at your preferred location to mark the end of what would be a wonderful 5 days tour in Morocco.
